About me
Hi! I'm Dan.
I'm a web developer & graphic designer doing business as Helix Point Tech. I make clean, gorgeous user interfaces and high quality front-end code. I deliver website awesomesauce.
I'm a big fan of (in no particular order) Adobe, jQuery, HTML5, Apple products, Wacom tablets, nachos, Ableton Live 8, and stand-up comedy.
Skills
I balance having the creativity for design with the technical prowess for code development. I can create pixel-perfect code from any design; have experience with creating simple, custom Content Management Systems; and I write W3C-valid code with SEO in mind that is completely cross-browser compatible.

Website Development
I work with my clients to develop highly attractive, functional sites that fit their needs. Lately, I've been coding everything in brand-spankin' new HTML5 and CSS3. I often use WordPress, but I also do custom CMS work & have experience with Zend & Magento. I'm currently building a light-weight, pseudo-modular CMS called LunchBoxCMS. I know all the tricks to get virtually every browser to work with the latest standards, and I use graceful degradation with progressive enhancement for all cross-browser issues.
Graphic Design
At heart, I am an artist; I love designing things. I offer logo creation (full vector artwork), business cards, branding options, mascot design, brochures, flyers, posters, and many other mediums and conceptualizations. I've also done clothing and catalog work, and have experience in many diverse projects, from corporate/conservative designs to young/hip creations.
Website For Sale
Looking to take over an existing website? I have a ton of ideas, but not enough time to run each site. So I've started building new websites as "turn-key operations." The sites are already designed and developed for you, complete with logo, aesthetics, and fully-functional code. Section coming soon.
